Cargo44 (“we”, “us”) provides shipment management software for freight forwarders. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data we collect

Account data. Email address and password when you sign up. Organisation name and support phone number during onboarding.

Shipment data. Customer names, phone numbers, destinations, cargo details, status updates, and financial records you enter into the platform.

Media. Photos, signatures, and proof-of-delivery images uploaded through the app or field intake tools.

Messaging. WhatsApp message content and delivery status when you use our notification features (sent via Meta WhatsApp Business Platform).

Billing. Payment details are handled directly by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status but never see your full card number.

Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and debugging.

2. How we use your data

• To operate the platform — creating shipments, sending updates, generating tracking pages and documents.
• To send WhatsApp notifications on your behalf via Meta WhatsApp Business Platform.
• To process billing through Stripe.
• To diagnose issues and improve the product.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your shipment or customer data for advertising.

3. Who we share data with

• Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
• Meta — WhatsApp message delivery via WhatsApp Business Platform.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Each provider processes data under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not share data with any other third parties.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance.

5. Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, or request deletion by emailing us. If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights under UK GDPR / EU GDPR including the right to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is controlled by row-level security policies. Media files are stored in private buckets with signed URLs. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
